The pop group CENTURY - Kleeblatt

CENTURY was formed in 1973 as KLEEBLATT (i.e. Four-Leaf-Clover) and remained one of the most famous bands in Northern Bavaria until the early nineties.

History:

In 1977 the band signed a record contract with Phonogram after winning a talent competition held in Wuerzburg, Germany. In the following years they produced these singles:


  1st single:

Saturday Lady & Leave Me Alone

  2nd single:

Highroad & Honeymoon Bay

With the second single KLEEBLATT changed into CENTURY because of international release.

 

„The face in the mirror“ became CENTURY’s most successful song,
peaking at

number 3 in South Africa’s Billboard charts,

and holding a top ten position for several weeks also in

Denmark and Norway.

 

Even today monetary funds are received from GEMA for frequent broadcasting in these countries.

 

Television appearances: „Die aktuelle Schaubude“ and „ZDF Drehscheibe“
Radio broadcast:

BR, NDR , SWF-Tipp-Parade, RIAS Berlin ( Top 5),
and many local stations.
